getting high on hyperbole-EXTINCTION and SURVIVORS

" india will be a super power by 2020 "
" ishant sharma is india's version of a heady cocktail of curtley ambrose and glen mcgrath "
" reliance power IPO will make retail investors atleast double profits "
" aishwarya rai is bollywood's hottest export to hollywood "
" INDIA SHINING "
- and million more headlines, campaigns, slogans, hopes, dreams, lecherous salivations and sheer nonsense-
AND WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
what makes we indians blow our hot air into big bubbles that burst and leave egg on our face?
has this tendency to count before the eggs hatch or even before the eggs have been laid -overtaken SPITTING IN PUBLIC as our nations favourite " JUST TIMEPASS, YAAR "
we are selling tiger skins before we have started hunting?
POLITICALLY INCORRECT,right? - ofcourse, i am-
orders for tiger skins are coming by millions-
so called SEZs are rising in count by the minute,
when VALMIK THAPAR is lamenting that tigers are in the last
thousands by count, and months by time to live-
when HUNGER DEATHS and FARMER SUICIDES are growing
faster than our much hyped GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT,
what we will be left with- SURVIVORS-
an old lonely bengal tiger-THE GOD OF THE OFFSIDE-saurav ganguly
and million more hungry minds to feed- not with this
nobrainer hyperboles and goebbelsian propaganda but
better places to live, learn and EARN A LIFE
*AM CYNICAL,RIGHT?-better than being blind...

read the article with interest.i have read a book called the world is flat by friedman and am reading a book indian planet by mira kamdar. the first author is an american and the second an indian migrated to US. there is a hype about india becoming a super power and prospering. bit there are some disturbing signs also. sky rocketing prices and more than 70% of the 1.2 billion living below the poverty line. you dont have to go to bihar or mp to see it. you can see it on the streets of madras. and this is the ticking bomb that will bring down the country. i have a lot more to write and will be writing on the group mail. bye for now RR

true, but money and power dont read physics books, they always flow against the concentration gradient, just faster in our own hypocritical 'shining' India.
